"The Swans of Edgewood Drive"

How often does an artist get to paint a same location twice? This pond has a special place in my heart. It was here that I discovered swans to observe and photograph, where I came one winter to give the swans some food and water, where I watched their young grow and did the painting Independent Together, and where one of the adults was killed. I have always loved the fact that swans mate for life; truly special to be able to swim beside the one you love!

I'm glad I was asked to paint from this pond again because I wanted to show you this magical place and the two swans I'll never forget.
