2003 was an incredible year for me. I went to Florida on vacation in February and visited the Salvador Dali Museum in St. Petersburg. His oil paintings were incredible. The bright skies, distant mountains, incredible detail and super realism were awesome. Inspired by Dali's work I bought some water-soluble oils and a few brushes at an art supply store, while in St. Pete, and could not wait to get home to try them. I purchased a small canvas and saw a sunset near my apartment one evening in March and decided what would appear on that small canvas.

Upon finishing this painting my creative energy just exploded; at my peak this year I was working on six pieces of artwork at the same time and that high energy has not subsided.
