I’ve seen hawks in flight, swooping down on prey, soaring, and mostly perched on trees. The eye of the hawk is ever watchful scanning the terrain below as it sits perched high above as a sentinel would stand guard in a watchtower. The sentinel stands tall and the length of this painting is a direct reflection of the meaning and duty of the sentinel; to keep watch, standing tall to fiercely protect those they love.

I love to see hawks along the way as I travel to and fro and somehow feel that through the hawk the eye of God is keeping watch over my path.
