I've always loved sitting or standing by water. I get lost in nature dreaming, thinking, observing, praying, writing, and absorbing the beautiful colors and reflections.

I arrived at this spot in the early morning as the sunrise made the colors appear just right. The leaves on the trees were just beginning to turn into their fall colors. I loved gazing across the water at the thick woods in the background. The limb of the tree in the foreground along with the grass in front of me on the bank drew my eyes to the turquoise water behind it and then out to the woods beyond. I knew I was seeing and experiencing this painting.
